I just wanted everyone to know what a fantastic experience I had with my procedure. Yes, I was hesitant/skeptical at first, but I am SO glad that I made the decision to go see Dr. Almanza. Everything was exactly as they described. The Dr. and nurses were absolutely wonderful and everything went EXACTLY according to plan, even crossing the border back into the USA.
A couple of pointers I wish I had known:
1. Don't get anything to drink(aka a Gatorade, etc.) prior to going thru TSA check-in. What a waste to throw it away.
2. Take smaller American bills - they readily accept US dollars but getting correct change back is a whole different story. You will need a very small amount of cash but you will WANT to buy a Gatorade and some beef broth soup after your surgery.
Other than that, I wouldn't change my decision for anything in the world. I truly believed I received as good or better care with Dr. Almanza and his team than I would at a US hospital. Good luck to everyone considering this procedure. It has definitely helped me.
