I researched available options extensively before selecting Dr. Almanza and his team. My successful and smooth surgical experience, quick recovery to date, and fantastic support from the WLA team have all validated my decision thus far. Coming from Southern California, it was extremely convenient to get there and back. Speaking of convenience, I love how they pack what needs to be done into a three-day stay at the hospital: heart test, pre-screening interviews, surgery, post-op monitoring and testing. No need for 5 separate pre-op appointments at your doctor as it's all baked into one focused weekend.

Also, Dr. Almanza is way more cost- effective for someone like me who is paying out of pocket and not through insurance. I started dieting 5 days before the operation and I'm down 20 lbs total so far 3 weeks post op. Last comment: shout out to the nursing crew, who went above and beyond their duties to help myself and other patients feel as comfortable as possible at the hospital, both physically and psychologically/ emotionally. They do a tremendous job.
