It takes a lot of courage or craziness to take your families tax refund and go to Mexico for weightloss surgery but that is what I did. Over the last year ive HAD to put myself and my health first even when it was inconvenient. I HAD to make good choices about what food I put in my body and because of all that I am better in so many ways for my family, friends, and life in general.
I would have never jumped through the right hoops or been able to afford surgery in the states but it was virtually a non-issue. I received great care and sometimes when I compare scenarios to folks who stayed in the states I wonder how they did it in day surgery and how much better I was by getting 3 days of iv fluids and sitting around before going home. Weightloss advocates and fellow sleevers have been a great asset to me this year and I highly recommend this option if you are mentally prepared to change your life for the better!
