My Weight has always been a factor in everything I do. In 2011 I had a lap band done.. I did not have success with it. I finally decided that I had to do something with my life I was no longer living.. Only exsisting. I did not have insurance which is how I discovered the sleeve procedure offered in Tijuana. I went in August of 2014.. I was not able to have sleeve done.. After removing the lap band it was discovered it had eroded a hole in my stomach. Dr. Almanza explained to me that my stomach was not ready for the sleeve that I needed to wait 3 months to come back and have the surgery then..he wanted to make sure my stomach was healed fully before trying again. It was the most devastating news to hear when I finally thought my life was going to change. So I waited 6 months before I went back... I had my sleeve procedure Feb. 25 I weighed 309 the morning of my surgery ... I am now 6 months post op and today I weigh 217 , I am down 92 pounds so far!!!My weight no longer controls my life like it did before .. I am finally living .....
