Several years I have yo-yo dieted, took diet pills, gym memberships, all types of diets, while getting bigger and bigger year after year. My mother died of health problems at 54 yrs old. I did not want this life. I began to hear of the Gastric Sleeve surgery and its success rate. I am a nurse, I started doing my research about the surgery in Mexico and in the US. After a year of research and deciding on Dr. Almanza in Mexico, I was Sleeved on March 12,2013. It was the best decision I ever made for myself! I would do it again in a heartbeat! I would also recommend to anyone else that is thinking about it, DO IT! I am 8 weeks post op and have lost 50#! I feel wonderful! Now, I won't say is has been easy all the way, but I say its a life choice. Im choosing the right foods to put in my body. It is like being able to hit a reset button on your health. I am exercising now(walking 30-45minday) and I feel great. My experience in Mexico was great. I went by myself and am naturally a skeptic, but everything was as described. They take very good care of you and I didnt have to have any pain med since night of surgery. Dr. Almanza is everything I researched him to be and was 100% comfortable in allowing him to do my surgery. I would recommend him to anyone. Just remember this surgery is a life style change!
