I've always struggled with my weight, and being only 5'0 weighing 240 lbs was extremely unhealthy. I had tried just about every diet in the book with minimal to no results. A friend of mine suggested this procedure with Dr. Almanza after her brother was going on two successful years post op. I did my research and three weeks later my friend and I were both signed up.
The surgery went great for us. Some scarring from the a incision sites but other than that, very successful. I felt so great that I talked my sister and my step mom into going to get it done as well. I am reaching my 6th month mark and am down from a size 22 pant to a 12 and a XL shirt to a M. I have lost almost 80 lbs. My friend has lost 110 lbs and my sister has lost 100.
I obviously recommend this procedure to anyone who had struggles with their weight and needs structure to help get it off. The team there is fantastic and I can't imagine where I would be right now if I never got it done.
