I cant believe how smooth everything went. I was worried about not having the Narcotic pain meds but you don't need them. We are so spoiled in the US which i am proud to be. I had to laugh at my self because when i was in my room ready to go to surgery the nurse asked if i was ready to go I said yes and laid back in my bed to be wheeled to surgery.... no you walk. That was so funny. Also the anesthesia they use was not hard on your body or wasn't for me. I wasn't even in my room and put in bed before I was up walking. That is the key ...you must get up and walk and don't lay in that bed so you will feel better. I felt refreshed after surgery. The worse part for me was the antibiotics you have to take. They taste yuck. Having my daughter was worse than this surgery.
The staff is amazing. Tip for good service. The staff is very passionate about their jobs and it shows in their work. I tipped everyone from the drivers to the nurses. They don't make what we make in the US. TOP Notch care!!
Dr. Almanza and his surgical staff have this down to an art. I have had no complications. I follow my diet and walk every day. I am truly grateful to have found them. Bring extra money to go shopping with. Yes they took us shopping and had a great time negotiating with the locals. The other people I met while there I will always have a bond with. Thank you Dr. Almanza for providing affordable bariatric care for us that our insurance doesn't cover. Thank you for my new life.
