I just want to say that the whole experience from beginning to end was exceptional! Since the day I applied to have the sleeve done, Weight Loss Agents was there every step of the way to help in anything and to answer all of my questions. If I thought of a question throughout my day, before arriving in Tijuana, all I would do is text WLA and they were quick to answer me. When I arrived at the hospital, it smelled clean! Don't' let anyone tell you otherwise. They truly do keep the hospital clean! I went to meet Dr. Almanza, he spoke to us about what to do, what to expect and if we had any questions. I then went to do pre-op labs which were blood work and get an EKG. All went well, and I was ready for surgery the next morning. The nurses are awesome, both at the hospital and at the hotel. Didn't really get to know the ones at the hospital, but we got to know Sebastian, who is one of the nurses at the hotel that tended to us. He knew exactly what he was doing and took exceptional care of us while there. Surgery went well, it's 36 more or less minutes long, and you are in recovery for an hour or two then wheeled to your room for the night. The first night is the hardest to endure as you will have lots of gas and gas pain to go with it, but just try to burp as much as you can and get lots of walking in. At one point during that evening of surgery, I literally walked the hallways for 2 & 1/2 hrs straight, back and forth. That really helps. The next morning you are discharged to the hotel for 2 nights where you are treated like royalty with the nurses care that you receive there. They give you your jellos, popsicles, apple juice and water. Two days later, we check out of the hotel and ready to fly home and begin our new journey to a healthier lifestyle. Today I am 2 weeks post-op and doing great and down 15.6 lbs since the day I started the 3 day pre-op liquid diet. Things can only get better from here. I will totally recommend Dr. Almanza and his team in Tijuana to help you begin your new lifestyle.
