I had the gastric sleeve done for a multitude of health reasons. I have been overweight most of my life. I have had gastrointestinal issues for the last 8 years. I have been on metformin for over 4 years (double the normal dose). I have been on heart medicine for two and a half years because of Lupus. Since my surgery, I haven't had any of the gastrointestinal issues that I was dealing with on a daily basis. I don't have to take my metformin any longer. And I can take 1/2 of the prescribed heart medicine that I'm on. I also was able to get off of Wellbutrin. This is just two weeks in! I am excited to see what other medications I will be able to get off of in the next year. I would definitely recommend Dr. Almanza as he and his team were a total God-send.
