The whole experience was good. But I will do my best to prepare you for what's ahead if you choose to go. The staff was Very attentive to each person. At first it may seem like you are being processed like cattle, because they do so many procedures per day, so when you get there you are rotated in and out of rooms getting things in order. But after the procedure you are very well taken care of. The nurses care about your well being and they will do anything they can to make sure you are happy. The hotel was great, very clean and the nursing staff at the hotel worked like clock work. I have have to say that my overall experience has been great. My procedure was 2 weeks ago and I have not had any complaints. I have had no pain, or discomfort. In fact the day after my procedure I got out and walked a mile or more around Tijuana. Every day has been business as usual. My eating habits is the only change so far since I am on a liquid diet still with some soft foods.
The clinic/hospital is very clean but very old. It could definitely use a paint job, especially down in the prep room and operating room. These rooms will make you very nervous but you can rest assured that you are in good hands. When you wake up after the procedure you are taken to your room which is very clean and nice.
Dr. Almanza spoke to us as a group before starting on procedures, however we never seen him again after that group talk. Not even one time all week. I believe that is due to the fact that he does so many procedures every day. The day that I was scheduled, they said he was doing 17 that day.
Bottom line is this, once you are there, you will be nervouse, but I assure you that they will take good care of you.
