well, here I go! It has been 12 weeks since surgery and I feel pretty good actually. I cannot believe how slow time creeps by in the first few weeks but it has been steadily picking up ever since. I do not feel hungry and my energy level is finally catching up. My goal when I began this journey was to be able to reduce my medications or come off meds completely. I am a type 2 diabetic and I am "medication free" for both diabetes and hypertension after just 12 weeks, everything else is a bonus! The key is to follow the program instructions and exercise. I have lost 36 lbs. since I started and I am wearing 1 size 14, something I have not done since the 1980's. It is certainly a huge life style adjustment but well worth the effort. I do not regret making my choice to go to Mexico, it was a great experience. the hotel accommodations were comparable to those here in the states and the staff was very attentive to our needs. While many braver folks than I travelled alone I chose to bring my husband for moral support, at no time did we feel abandoned or alone. It was a trip I will never forget or regret. I hope that who ever reads this finds a spark of hope and encouragement to get you on your way.
