Tomorrow marks the first 100 days of life after gastric sleeve surgery and I've lost count of the ways my life has improved.

Surgery day was Oct. 6, 2017. I had lost nearly 30 lbs. on my own pre-op as I practiced the new food plan and eating habits I would need to incorporate in my new life. At this writing (Jan. 14, 2018), I'm down another 35 lbs! Now at 165, I'm wearing clothes I haven't gotten into in years. My waist went from 40-plus inches to just under 32, and even my shoes fit better. I've gone from a tight size 20 to the point where my 12's are getting loose. But those are just the small successes ...

The pain I had from a foot fracture is completely gone with the weight I've shed. Other body aches are diminishing. My B12 deficiency and cholesterol improved, as did my erratic thyroid hormone levels. My skin is clearer and less dry. Best of all, I have loads more energy and confidence!

I could go on. VSG was the best decision I've ever made.

The care and assistance I got from Dr. Mario Almanza and his amazing team made the beginning of this process easier than I anticipated. It was a relief to have all the details and schedules handled for me, rather than stress over various arrangements such as transportation and medications. Thanks for ushering me into this new me!
