I was in a bike accident in 2011 and in the process, needed to have a electronic pain management device implanted 2 years later placing me in a disability state for 12 weeks which began a steady weight gain of 60lbs within the last 4 1/2 years and no matter what I did, eating salads and chicken, exercising 5-6 times a week on my total body gym, the weight was barely coming off. This weighed on me psychologically and emotionally also. I no longer went out to see friends, made excuses to not attend events, even at work and with my brothers. I was ashamed and very depressed. I had been doing a lot of research on the procedure and the clinics in our Sister City south of the border, over the last 3 years, but always hesitated when it came to filling out the questionnaire, stopped short and decided to think on it a little more. But on the Eve of my 50th Birthday, I said "No more excuses!" I did this as a Birthday gift to myself. I have always been told I look at least 15 years younger than my age and now at 25lbs lighter, I definitely feel it! Everyone from the WLA Consultants to the Shuttle driver who picks you up and drops you off was very attentive and helpful. Dr. Almanza meets with you before your procedure and even takes a picture with you <=. The hospital staff as well as your 24/7 hotel nursing staff are all so very friendly and there for your every need. I had very little pain after the procedure, my areas of discomfort were nausea, which I was able to keep at bay by walking and making sure I was drinking liquids. I was even able to have my stitches removed at home. I can not tell you how happy I am. I have a beautiful wardrobe and refused to buy new clothes because I was determine to fit into the ones I have and love already. I have a trip to China planned next April and was not as excited before my procedure as I am now! I am walking at least 6 times a week, something I have always loved to do and will begin working out on my Total Body Gym after my 6th postop week, in the meantime, the lbs. continue to drop!
