I am 54 years young.I contemplated getting sleeved for about 2 years.I really thought I should be strong enough to loose the weight on my own.But each year that passed, and I've tried many diets and aids...to no real victory.I should've done it sooner. It isn't easy and some days in the first few weeks are harder than others.I was sleeved 11/18/16.I am just shy of 2 months out and I am 50 plus pounds down.50 pounds GONE! AM I DREAMING? NO ITS REAL.How awesome is that.My father always taught me that " anything worth having is worth fighting for" weight loss is a battle and one I've not felt victorious fighting in 25 years, until now.My dad also said"it is always going to cost you something"So I didn't eat Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas dinner but the way I looked at it I've eaten a many of them in 54 years. This year food isn't talking to me.
There has been many positives to getting sleeved, besides the incredible weight loss.(1.I am sleeping through the night,I use to wake up about every 21/2 hours to go to the bathroom.(2. Not one hot flash have I had...in almost 8 weeks.(3. Skinny ankles though I'm still on my feet all day (4 blood pressure good (5 flexibility (6 Food no longer has a voice in my head.
I'm sure there will be more things added as time goes by.It hasn't been easy but it is totally worth it.
The care I received was awesome.Everyone was kind gentle polite.Over all it was a very positive experience.I'd do it again.
Loving this renewed life!
