I had been wanting to do something about my weight for years. My insurance would not cover any weight loss surgeries. Diets didn't work or never lasted. I always gained the weight I loss and then some too. After seeing their website and I talked with a friend of mine that was larger than me and had just casually mentioned Weightlossagents.com, just almost testing the waters of what he thought. After almost a year of talking about wanting to get the sleeve surgery we made the commitment to do it. I think he was more sure about it than me but never the less I set my date the same day as he set his. I had three major fears going on. At least major in my mind.
1 - Fear of flying. I live in South Carolina so we felt flying was I quickest and best way to get to Tijuana, Mexico. It was a first for me to fly.
2 - Fear of traveling to a different country. I didn't know what to expect. I had been to Mexico when I was a little kid but I really did not remember anything about it and times have changed anyway.
3 - Fear of Having surgery. The only time I ever had any surgery was when I was little and had my tonsils removed. A horrifying experience to a little kid.
Having another person going with me eased some of my anxiety and helped to push me into making commitments. I must admit that flying wasn't bad and when we landed WeightLossAgents made it easy on us by picking us up at the airport in San Diego and driving us into Mexico to a very nice and extremely accommodating motel. It was somewhat of a culture shock but a good shock in a lot of ways. It was comforting having a nurse at the motel taking care of us before and after the surgery. The Hospital we had our surgery at, The Green Health Hospital was very nice and clean. The doctors and nurses were very nice and knowledgeable. Everybody involved made my experience an experience that I am willing to to recommend to others. FEARS (False Expectations Appearing Real), that's all they were, false expectations. Dr. Mario Almanza and his team did great.
