Okay... So, here is the painful truth! This surgery is NOT for the weak!!! People say it's taking the easy way out. Well, let me tell you. It's FAR from the "easy" way. It took me 3 months to feel good and okay to actually finally start eating. In the first 3 months though, I lost 100 lbs. I was happy about it, but felt like absolute crap. However, if you take your vitamins, drink your liquids, and such, you won't feel as bad! I'm almost 4 months out, and feel absolutely amazing!!! It's the best thing I've ever done for myself, and I don't regret it a single bit. The first 3 months though, I wanted everything to go back to the way it was before. However, you get to feeling better, and you change you mind. Trust me! The only pain you feel is the first 2 or so days after the procedure from the gas they pump in you. That was the absolutel worst part about the whole thing. Other than that, it's basically pain free. Scars are minimal. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat! Also, everyone that was part of the medical staff, doctors, nurses, hotel nurses, and even the hotel staff, was absolutely amazing!!! Everyone was oh so very nice and accommodating! Make friends with your hotel nurses!!! TRUST me!!! It comes in handy! Also, if you're not willing to share a room with someone, reconsider it. You could make a friend for life. Plus, it's boring to just sit alone. There's so much shopping one can do afterwards, and having a friend to do it with, is a lot of fun! Highly recommend sharing a room! I came home with an amazing friend, I know I'll have for the rest of my life! :)
