Let's see...surgery was June 6th. Liquid diet started 5 days prior to that. So in the last 21 days(3 weeks) i've already lost 40LBS as of this morning. The Staff at Dr Almaza's clinic is very knowledgeable and helpful. Even at the recovery hotel, things were relatively smooth. Notwithstanding a few hiccups, i couldn't be more pleased with the result. Since i'm no longer producing that hormone Grelin, i don't "feel" hungry any more. I actually have to remind myself that it's time to eat something. My wife is a medical professional and was terribly skeptical going into this surgery. She did accompany me and was observant throughout the process. If your considering this surgery i would say STOP PROCRASTINATING. If you're on this website, you know you need it. Get it over with and start losing NOW. Now a message to the staff that will help make this a better experience for those who follow.

1. Tell Carlos to SLOW DOWN. He doesn't have to hit every pothole in Tijuana. Especially after the surgery.
2. The restaurant in the hotel is closed for renovation. As much business as Dr Almaza does with this hotel, he should be able to leverage some kind of voucher for accompanying spouses/friends at a nearby restaurant. Like maybe that fantastic Brazilian restaurant across the street.
3. On that same note...one english speaking channel on the TV is kinda tough when you've got to stay there for 3 days. Again, you do so much business with the hotel, get the hotel to install DirecTV or Dish Network. It will help the time pass more easily for your patients and guests.

But like i said, No Regrets. My goal is to lose 140 lbs. I almost a third of the way there in just 3 weeks. Im looking forward to being slim again by the holidays.
