I ve got to say that this experience has been Awesome! It's a slow process in my case, but it's been worth the wait.. I started my journey weighing 181lbs. being that i'm only 4'11'' this was a lot for me. I had never been this big not even during my 2 pregnancies. I have lost so far a total of 45lbs, which i know some of the other ladies that had the surgery the same day as mine have most likely lost a whole lot more, i wont lie at first i was a bit dissappointed because i didnt feel like i was loosing it fast enough, but after reading a bit more and analyzing my own body, it was normal for me to loose the weight at a slower pace. I have gradually lost the weight, I now fit into clothes that i hadnt gotten into for over 5years which that alone puts a smile on my face. I feel so much better about myself, physically and mentally. i will say that it's not easy though you do get irritated at times that you can't eat normally or you feel sick if you eat the wrong foods. I myself still can't really consume milk products, starches, breads, carbonated drinks, red meats. You will get bored at times and frustrated, but it s worth it. I still have more to loose & i'm sure i'll get to my goal.. One suggestion is that you definately must take your vitamins, my hair has been falling out, my skin has gotten very dry, but that s my fault because i wasnt taking my vitamins as i should. Drink lots of water as much as you can.
The experience at the hospital, was great the nurses were very, very nice to me, I had a tough night due to the anesthesia, but that is my normal reaction that i've had with anesthesia as it is.. the nurses were attentive to my issue and helped me out as much as they were able to, the actual incisions, were not uncomfortable, they really didnt hurt much at all, the caterer that you will have on for the most part of the time after the surgery is uncomfortable, I had a lot of heart burn during the time i had it on. Not sure if that s what caused it, but it did feel better once they removed it.
The hotel was very nice, and clean. No problems at all there.
I would recommend this place and doctor to anyone who is considering having this procedure done.
the picture i posted was 1 day before my surgery, and the next one was exactly 1month after, i have since then lost a whole lot more, the following picture is 3 months after my surgery. Perhaps i will post some more pictures later on in my journey.. Meanwhile I hope the best for those who are considering to have this procedure done, It really has been so worth it for me in so many aspects, I dont regret at all. Good luck
