It's been one month since my vsg. Not the easiest thing I've ever gone through but probably the best thing I've done for myself. I ALWAYS ate because I ALWAYS felt hungry! No longer a problem :-) It amazes me how very little I eat now and don't have hunger headaches and I have pretty decent energy.

I went alone. I really don't recommend it. I felt pretty weak and vulnerable having to travel home alone afterward. Would have been nice to have someone with me...at least to carry my suitcase!

Pay attention to WLA's request that you NOT book your return flights before noon. Half the people who had surgery on my day left one day early because they'd made early morning flight plans. I was SO GLAD that I wasn't having to leave the hotel and nurses when they did.

My starting weight was 197 and today I'm 180. I feel sure I'll wake up tomorrow, Christmas Day, at 179 :-D Being in the 170's again will be the best present EVER and it simply would not have happened without going through this procedure. Years of different extreme diets just really put my body in a distrustful mode. Was SO HARD to lose weight. But now that I hardly eat 500 calories a day--consistently (it just can't be any other way)--my body has no choice but to start letting the weight go. Hallelujah!

I have never in all my life had such quality and caring CARE as I received from every person I dealt with in Tijuana. I want to go there for any other needs that may arise in my future! Although now that I will soon be at and stay at a healthy weight, my future medical needs will be far diminished. yay!

I can't thank you enough for making this so affordable and attainable. It was simply the best!
