I have done a video testimonial. However, I can do another. I want to say how wonderful the expierce was. From the start to my discharge. I arrive at 1300 on 5/30 and went into surgery by 1400, no time to be afraid. just do it. This was the hardest thing I have done for me. I am 59 yrs old and 5'3'' tall, I weighted 225 lbs. my BMI was 36-38%. I was a candidate for the gastric sleeve. I was excited because it was done laproscopic. 5 small incisions and a drain. I was cared for by the best Nurses and by 0330 I was discharge to the 5 Star Hotel. My experience only got better from there. My sister was with me. We are both nurses and could not believe the attention I recieved from the staff. We walked everday. Sometime 2-3 times a day, we ALSO shopped and in the evening went to the resturaunt for my bowl of broth and hot tea. I did not used any narcotic for recovery. I was given Torodol and Reglan which took care of most of the discomfort. Everyone was so accomodating. I usually have problems with post operative nausea and vomiting. I throw up all day I have it really bad! I am very proud to say that I didi nit have one episode of nausesa and vomiting.E xcet for the leak tes,t that was nasty. I have lost 22 lbs to date and look forward to more wieght loss. My insulin requirement have dropped 60% of what i was taking. Am I pleased, YES!! Would I recommend Jerusalem Hospital to my friends and family? I have not stopped talikng about it! Thank You for the wonderful expierence. Cynthia Kersey Washing State USA
