i am not certain where to start. I have always been active, when my last child was born i weighed 135 pounds. I was never heavy always curvy and Voluptuous, but never heavy. In 2001 at the age of 31 i had a full hysterectomy. The down time the loss of energy and the new forced hormones sent me into menopause and a life i was not use too. Weight gain, not as active i turned to cooking. I had never really baked, well i started. over the next few years my boys graduated, moved out and empty nest sent in, i quit smoking and within a few months i had reached 220 pounds. then in 2008 tragedy struck when my first grandchild died of S.I.D.S at 9 months, then my grandma (mom) dies 4 months later. I was no longer recognizable. I went to college and got a degree, and went to work and stayed under 300. But i finally got to 315. Insurance said my 5 side affects to obesity was not enough to pay for. So a friend hooked me up with the web site to wt loss center. The decision was easy to do it, but going to TJ was a tough decision. I finally decided I deserve a healthier me. I do not want diabetes. The staff where all amazing, sometimes the language barrier was tough. They were respectful and understanding. I had had laparoscopic surgery before so i knew what i was getting into there. The hardest part for me was the 3 days not keeping water down. Ice chips were my best friend. My room mate could do juice, jello water, but not me. Since surgery in 15 days i have lost 22, and 17 in the pre op diet for a total of 39 pounds. i feel great ! i cant wait to hit the gym. Thanks to everybody at the Hospital and the Hotel for making my experience a good one. Thanks Ronica

PS i did not do any preop pics but i will find one that shows how i looked, and i have none but of my face.
