Hello out there,

To all those who are looking into the sleeve surgery, I would recommend Dr. Almanza and his team. My son was over 500 lbs and we couldn't get him on any health insurance. Doctor's wouldn't or couldn't help him. We were desperate because his health was going down hill fast. We felt he would die if something wasn't done. He had the lapband while in high school but that didn't have much success and he was sick all the time. After that was removed he gainded another 200 lbs! I believe Dr. Almanza has possibly saved my son's life. I know going out of country is scary, but we didn't have a choice and we feel that this was a wonderful experience! From the moment I called the weightlossagent site till the day we left Tijuana, I have to say we were very well taken care of. The care is different there than here but just as good. The facility was clean, the people were courteous and the hotel was very nice. Negative: the actual hospital is in a strip mall so be prepared but that is only a negative because it is small. I didn't care about that because I got to meet other parents and patients and we became close in those four days. They even fed the guests!

One last comment, look at the youtube videos for Hospital Jerusalem and Dr. Almanza. Some of the patients did a whole video experience and that was helpful to see what it would be like.
