I decided to do this surgery without putting a ton of thought into it. I filled out a few papers online and BAM, I was booked for surgery. I didn't want a lot of people to know I was going to Mexico for weight loss surgery so my husband and sister were the only ones that knew. I went by myself and WLA were great in arranging my pick up and all the details. I got to the hospital and met up with the others that were having surgery the next day with me. There were 9 surgery's and most of the group came with a friend. I couldn't have done it without these strangers that ended up being the greatest friends!! We didn't meet the doctor until the morning of the surgery and after the surgery we never saw him again. It's definitely not the US! The equipment is old school but functional. No doctor comes to check on you so you don't really get your questions answered. The nurses were very kind and things were clean, but I still have no idea exactly how much of my stomach they took out, and they don't really tell you what to expect. It HURTS!! Luckily for me our group started a Facebook page and we are all working out our post surgery lives together. It's been hard to eat enough to not get sick and not eat so much you get sick. I'm so grateful I met these ladies (one is a nurse) to help me navigate through this side of the surgery.

Response: Thank you for the feedback. We tend to think it's all brand new equipment in a brand new hospital, but maybe something seemed "old school" and we apologize for that.
