I was scheduled to have the Gastric Sleeve July 12th my husband and I flew in on the 11th. We had no problems finding the pick up area and our driver was very friendly as well as all the other patients. We were taking straight to the hospital for blood work and after that was done we were all ask if we wanted to have our surgery that day and of course we were all on board , why not. So we were all taken to our hospital rooms and got our IVs started and legs wrapped ( in the states we would have had support stockings put on) and we waited til our turn. I spent one night in the hospital, I never experienced any pain from the surgery only pain I had and it was bad was the pain from the gas they used to blow my stomach up. But let me tell you walking is the key because once you get that gas off your stomach it's such a relieve! The doctor came checked us out and we were then taken to the hotel and this would be a 5 start hotel in the states it's extremely nice! I also want to tell you that the hospital was cleaner than some hospitals here in the states and everyone is extremely professional and attentive to your every need. The nurses that are at the hotel are awesome they all took very good care of me as well as the other patients. I was never nervous about my surgery but my husband was a wreck but once he saw how clean the hospital was and how professional everyone was he was at ease and he loved the hotel. You must remember that this is Mexico so the hospital doesn't look like ours but as said before it puts some of ours in the states to shame. If your considering the sleeve go for it! I'm not telling you it has been easy every step because it hasn't I personally thought I might had made a mistake the 2nd week but by the 3 rd week I had no regrets. I'm so thankful for this tool I've been giving to help me reach my weight loss goal. Thank you Dr Almanza and the entire nursing staff for being so good to me! These are before & after ......
