My husband came home one night and said he had just talked to a lady that had just got home from having surgery by Dr. Almanza in Mexico. I filled out the paperwork and was called shortly after by a very knowledgeable representative. Made my surgery date and started booking my flight. I had a great experience all the way around. From the time we were picked up from the airport until we left to come home. The nurses and staff were so kind. Knowing that Dr. Almanza had also had a gastric sleeve was cool. He knew what we all were going through. The amount of people coming to Mexico to have a weight loss procedure was astounding. I couldn't believe how many people from my state were there. I don't regret it for a minute. I had my procedure on March 18th and in 15 days I have lost 18 pounds. That doesn't count the 8 that I had lost before I had surgery. Being a 59 year old female with a low low metabolism I can't believe I am losing weight at all. I'm so excited about it. I felt safe in Tijuana, and it was clean. The hotel was probably a 3 star hotel, it was very clean. If you like to take showers with wash cloths, you should bring your own. I really had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone that is thinking about weight loss surgery.
