I was scared and nervous at first. I kept thinking of the horror stories I had heard about that dealt with out of country surgeries. I work in the medical profession and I started thinking about all the botched, horror stories in my own country and realized botched can happen anywhere. I was lucky enough to have had a friend who had gone to see Dr. Almanza and had fabulous results. My friend had also sent three other friends besides myself to weight loss agents and they are all doing wonderful. I am now a 5 weeks out, I feel great and have lost 26 lbs. I am just starting on some solid foods ,so I know my weight loss will slow a little but I have discovered that the walking at least 30 plus minutes a day is a big key to getting the weight off.
The medical staff you will encounter speaks English or broken English which is so appreciated because you are in their country and they are so nice and pleasant. Always remember surgery is uncomfortable, but they do wonderfully monitoring you whether your in the hospital or at the hotel. Each day after surgery do what you can to push yourself to walk, you'll feel better each day the more you do. Follow the doctors orders to the letter and you will be fantastic. The hotel knows why you are there and are very helpful with helping you also. The nurses on staff at the hotel are fun and nice. They enjoy their job. Don't over pack, no one cares if you wear the same thing twice. Also remember you can not carry more then 10 lbs after surgery so keep that in mind when packing.
The first step is the hardest, just do yourself a favor and save your life, knees, back etc. , the faster you do it the closer you will be to your goal, which will now be acheivable.
