I am two weeks post-op and I feel good. The entire process was pretty much what I expected. The biggest shock was that I could not go stay at the hotel with my husband. They no longer have nursing staff at the hotel. So I had to remain in the hospital and my husband had to travel back and forth by shuttle. For us that was not a big deal but it was disappointing, my roommate brought her daughter and it was bad for her. She thought she would be with her mom but they shuttled her to hotel and there wasn t a room for her, a young girl in another country gets pretty rattled when she is told they will take her to another hotel to stay. After a lot of years they brought her back to the hospital to stay in our room and we all felt much better about that.
My surgery went very well. I think it is important to follow the pre-op diet. I was up walking pretty quickly and it definitely helped with the shoulder pain. So did the baby gas drops! The nursing staff at the hospital was great. Alex, Sebastian, and Juan were all excellent! From the day of the surgery I have felt better every day.
