I have been debating on getting a sleeve for over a year! I workout 5 times a week, I have been tracking my calories for 2 years and would lose 10lbs and gain it back over and over! I have no thyroids and had a hysterectomy almost 2 years ago, no matter what I did I could not lose weight. So I decided to do the gastric sleeve! My highest weight was 183 I am 5'5. Diabetes runs in my family and I am terrified to get it, I have lost 3 family members to this horrible disease! I found weight loss agents and they answered all my questions and was with me every step of the way! Dr. Almanza was great and if many of you didn't know this he also has had the sleeve done, so he has been on both sides of this surgery! After 14 days in the liquid diet I had not lost anything still 183 at the hospital. My surgery was about 30 minutes, no complications. Hospital was so nice, the staff was so nice. The hotel we stayed in with around the clock care was great! I have no regrets! 3 months out I have lost 37lbs and feel great! I am a slow loser and have less to lose than most and I am so grateful I made this decision!
