After handing over my money and signing a form, each person gets blood taken. Then you go to another room, strip down and wait for the nurse to start your IV. Then the elderly ekg doc comes in and checks your heart with stethoscope. Then Dr. Almanza comes to explain his procedure. Your then taken to the operating table. Where the anesthesiologist says his name. After that I only remember waking long enough to be walked to a room where I went to sleep. I woke a lot after that needing pain meds. They keep you on a clock for them so hopefully your pain tolerance is better than mine is. After this we are pretty much shuffled out the door the next day to the recovery house. You'll be taken care of exceptionally well by the nurses. I actually was out of pain and got decent sleep there.

After going home for the first month your stuck to liquid items. After this its trial and error as your stomach shall decide what your allowed to eat and no longer will you be able to decide. Your stomach will become sensitive to some foods and less to others as you adjust to your "new life". It's all worth it, trust me. The weight loss slows when you eat too many carbs or not enough proteins, at least in my experience. I get compliments now all the time of how great I look. I'm still losing as of this posting. I can't wait to see the final me. I plan on going back as soon as I save enough for the "mommy make-over." I feel like the real me is finally coming out of the darkness and into the light.

For all of you who are scared of the location, DONT BE! They take good care of you and even though its kind of odd how they do things you'll be just fine and in the end your going to be so happy you did it. Plus the Dr. is kind of sexy... (smiles) I am only half way into my weight loss at 7 months so far. I am so excited!!! You will be too.
