15 days post surgery and I am feeling great and down 11 lbs thus far, with that being said, my overall experience wasn't the greatest. It seemed as though once we got to Tijuana the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. We were told that we would go straight to the facility as soon as we arrived but instead the driver took us to a hotel until the next morning. When we got to the facility they were aggravated and said the driver should have brought us there the night before. The hospital was very very nice and clean but if your expecting great bedside manor and nurses, this is not the place to go. My nurse blew my IV four times, my arms are still covered in bruises from that. The night after surgery I threw up all night and every time I would go out looking for a nurse to help me, there never were any. They don't stay at a nurses station like you would assume they would. They literally disappeared for hours on end and only come into your room once a shift to check on you, only received pain meds once a day and was made to feel bad when I needed that. It's gets very hot in the hospital at night and when I would ask for a fan they would tell me just to walk to another floor and try to find one. I was told all along to schedule my outgoing flight for anytime after 5 pm, so I did what they said. That morning the driver was there to pick us up at 9am to go to the airport! I sat in the airport terminal from 10am until 6pm waiting for my flight, just having surgery two days prior, it was pure heck.

About the return flight, patients are informed that their return flight from this provider should be scheduled for anytime after 12:00 noon. Not sure where 5pm confusion set in, but all in all we are glad to hear you are doing well and we will make sure improvements are made.
